What We Treat
Dr. Brennan treats all sorts of orthopedic problems but the focus of his practice relates to problems of the shoulder, knee and hip.
With the shoulder, he is particularly interested in rotator cuff problems. This stems from his having had surgery on both of his own rotator cuffs. Other shoulder problems that he treats are bicep tendon problems, dislocations/ instability, impingement, frozen shoulder and arthritis.
He routinely performs minimally invasive, arthroscopic shoulder surgeries including:
Rotator cuff repair
Bicep tendon procedures
Labrum surgery/ recurrent dislocation surgery
Bone spur removal/ impingement surgery
Having written a book about knee arthritis, that goes without saying! But other knee issues that he cares for are meniscus tears and ligament injuries and cartilage injuries.
Common knee procedures that Dr. Brennan performs are:
Total knee replacement
Robotic assisted partial knee replacement
Arthroscopic surgery for meniscus tears and cartilage injuries
Dr. Brennan sees patients for hip problems including arthritis, bursitis and labrum tears.
He routinely performs hip replacement surgery.
